I love Krispy Kreme! This location is fairly accessible, not being too far off I-435 and on Metcalf. Good sized. Decent service. Great product! Not different from most of the other KK's to which I've given patronage (Florissant, MO; Newark, CA; Mountain View, CA; Blue Springs, MO; Rochester (Brighton), NY; Buffalo, NY; Fenton, MO ...). Did I mention that I love Krispy Kreme?

This morning our chocolate glazed donuts tasted like 'they used the oil from Church's fried chicken! Three people described their donuts the same way! "they taste like fried chicken!" Now I know it wasn't just me!

THREE WORDS: HOT FRESH NOW! The kids (and adults too) LOVE watching the doughnuts being made.

I cannot think of a single reason anybody living in the KC area would visit a Krispy Kreme location, except possibly to enforce health code violations. We've got Lamar's and, hell, even Fluffy Fresh, both of which are leagues above Krispy Kreme, whose donuts resemble bulbous, sweaty, bloated ticks.

So, the conveyer belt seems to communicate they can crank out the donuts but with 13 hours head notice these guys turned down my order of 300 donuts! What!!!! That's like Ronald turning down a massive order of burgers and McDonalds. Fortunately for the franchise another location near by was more than happy to take my order and happy for the business. If I was the owner of this business I'd be having a heart to heart with the managers.

I love this Krispy Kreme, its the first i ever went to when i was just visitng Kansas City and trying to decide if i wanted to move here. it gave me new appreciation for plain glazed donuts although they have a vast selection of other donuts. I have spent WAY too much time going myself and taking my family from out of town here so they can have the fresh and hot glazed donut handed to you experience that this Krispy Kreme offers, found next to a Dennys off Metcalf at 103rd in a favorite shopping and restaurant area its got a drive thru perfect for Saturday mornings when you dont really want to be seen in your jamas, and is also close to an excellent Hardees and thier sausage biscuits. the perfect breakfast morning stop. until you have had REALLY fresh Krispy cremes you havent had donuts. now MUST not think about donuts down the street!

I've been going here since I was a little girl and now I frequently inhabit the drive thru. I've only had great experiences here, and the employees are always super kind and patient. They even donated dozens of doughnuts to a high school debate tournament I was in charge of!

Have been eating Krispy Kreme since I was a child. I ate my first glaze when I was in Huntsville, AL. My family and myself have been bringing Krispy Kreme home on the plane for years before arrival in Johnson County, KS. The products are worth a 5 star rating. I gave a 4 star due to the fact that the person assisting myself and my son could not even muster up a smile. Please hire employees that not only like people but act on it.

Good doughnuts! The staff is nice and gives out free samples when the red light is on!

I'm trying really hard to review this place, not how badly the brand was damaged and mishandled by money-grubbers. Krispy Kreme is a special donut palace/chapel of sorts. When the red light is on it means that they are running an order of glazed through and if you want, you can get a free glazed sample right off the line. Amazing. The glass wall means you can see through the machinery and I love seeing young children just fascinated with the "magic" of it. Clean, with great "seasonal" donuts apart from the classic standbys. Both the coffee and hot chocolate are okay, not amazing, but the donuts are the star, really.

The donuts are great - I took my sister on National Donut Day and they were fresh, which was fantastic, but that's not why I'm writing this review... I'm not really sure what the issue is with this staff, but I think the owners may need to rethink who they're hiring. I went through the drive thru because the inside was jam-packed, but the guy who took my order was extremely rude. I ordered three donuts, slowly, because I work in food and I know how hard it is to take an order that is said very quickly. As soon as I ordered the third, the guy interrupted me and told me they no longer have that donut and I have to pick another one. Maybe I'm being picky, but in my food service experience, you NEVER interrupt a guest while they are ordering. You let them order, and then when they are finished you can clarify what you need to finish the order. I called yesterday to report this incident and the manager who answered the phone was instantly short with me as soon as I requested to speak with a manager (I guess she was upset I didn't automatically assume she was a manager). When I told her about the incident, she told me the STORE MANAGER was the person on drive thru that day, which makes the whole situation even worse. She apologized, with no actual regret in her voice, and told me I should just call on Monday to talk to the store manager about it. Horrible customer service. I'll return when they hire better employees.

I normally enjoy picking up a dozen donuts from the local Krispy Kreme. Unfortunately, this time, I was greeted by a gentleman that caught me off guard. As he was assisting me, he stopped my order, and started a search for his gloves. He asked the baker, he walked up and down the counter, he scratched his nose, he asked his manager, he scratched his face, then he gave up and opened up my box to fill it full of fresh nose skin and face sweat.......I left. I returned to see if this would be fixed. As soon as I walked in, I noticed he was now wearing gloves...... that he didnt change out to serve my donuts. So God knows what was on them, that he transferred onto my donuts.... not the server's fault..... I would have expected better training from the manager who was obviously unaware.

Donuts are awesome but the staff is kinda rude. Like they didn't have time to mess with a paying customer

Great place and super friendly. They gave my grandson his first hot off the line doughnut for free and a hat! Memories and loyalty are made of this.

Typically, my go to place for doughnuts in Overland Park. They give a free sample when the red light is on just like they should. But recently, this past weekend, while I was there, I saw a bug in the doughnut case. Yuck. A little brown crawling bug, not a cockroach but disgusting just the same. It was enjoying the doughnuts too. I'm not naive. I know most places have bugs. Restaurants, grocery stores, buffets, they all have their little secrets but that's what they should stay -little secrets. They should be controlled, hidden, pushed to the darkness where customers can not see them. Here's the thing folks, a shop is like an iceberg. What you see up front is just the tip. What's in back making the shop float is much larger, much more complicated. If I'm seeing bugs up front how many bugs must be in back?! The workers must be stepping over them! And I love Krispy Kreme what am I going to do? I give them 2 stars only for the benefit that I've came here for years and it's been good. Only because maybe I caught them just before monthly fumigation. maybe... maybe not...

I normally search for a coupon before going here... but I got a free coupon to try their NEW LIMITED EDITION (gets me every time) Smores or chocolate cake donut. So, that's half the battle - done. and I normally go through the drive through because I think I can only afford the glazed and so that's what I order... but this time I had options and I had to see them both. So, I had to go inside. I walk in the door and as soon as I do, I see a machine behind a glass window... I am intrigued. I watch it. It's an unmanned assembly line. It's pumping out donuts into this river of grease. They float lazily as if they are on the Huzzah and run into a bumper that tips them over and then they float some more. Then they surface on rollers and get glazed... both sides... and then they turn a bend. I have already found the one for me... I named him Huck Finn. I try to follow it but then... Eek! A person! The counter just appeared out of nowhere and the guy asks me what I want. The donut museum made me forget... so I just stared for awhile. I noticed that the glazed are the same price as the fancies. So, I confirm this is true and order up a dozen (6.99)... slowly. Poor guy had to go over how many I had in the box several times. He kept a great count in his head. Jellies/jelly like stuff (raspberry, lemon, apple, strawberry), custard, classic glazed, a couple "limited editions", easy on the creme filled... ick, Wow. I felt like I had just visited the gift shop. I mean truly, my box of donuts was like a souvenir. I had so many awesome emotions here and a treasure to take home. I had NEVER heard anyone mention this EVER... I mean, why don't people think this amazing? I'll just tell you, the next time I have someone visit, this is where I am taking them. Oh, BTW, the Smores is good if you like cream filled but it could have benefited from marshmallow cream instead. They have this donut without the graham crackers regularly. If you like the "cake" donuts the chocolate one is good -- made with Hershey's and has sprinkles. They have this donut without sprinkles and non-Hershey's chocolate regularly.

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts are legalized heroin. Almost every time I go in they offer a free doughnut to wet my beak before my purchase. A warm Krispy Kreme doughnut just melts in your mouth and provides instant pleasure.
